Hi has anyone got a working link to a video of men working under Chocks on the face ? i am trying to show my grand kids what i used to do down the pit. Thanks G There should be some links in the video section leading you to Youtube videos, some NCB training films and some others. Here's one on Manton, follows after the adverts... Here's part of an old NCB training film. www.youtube.com/user/durhamcoalmining#p/u/7/QhgDZS3PRqQ

Timberlad, don't know where you're based but a trip to the National Coal Mining Museum for England (caphouse colliery) near Wakefield is well worth a visit, full day to look round all mining equipment and memorabilia plus an hours guided trip underground to look at all the equipment in situ, and it's all for free, they have a very good priced canteen as well
