No we only had them for the staff, and those were only to locate parts in the stores inventory back then.
We did have a software pirating/sharing scheme going between Angus Place and the power station. At that time it was Commodore64 software, if the software had been cheaper, we'd have no need to pirate the stuff.
I spent many a happy hour in the stores photocopying the paperwork for software. We had a few in the computer "ring". I still have all that software somewhere stored away.

all section and the outbye crib rooms now have computers and laser printers so you can print out swp's etc on the job
think the longwall also has one near the maingate
