Hello!
I am trying to find out some information about buses owned by the National Coal Board.
Three buses in particular that I am interested in were delivered new to NCB South Normanton, Derbyshire in 1975 but by then this pit had closed and from what I can gather this site had become the central engineering facility for Trucks, Buses and such like for that area.
The buses were built by Seddon-Pennine and were delivered in February 1975 and were commonly known as the Seddon Midi Bus as they were only 23' long and had seating for 27 passengers.
They were as follows;
SN10-40 HNU548N SN10-41 HNU546N SN10-42 HNU547N
I would be grateful for any information or photographs of these buses and where they operated and if any one knows what became of them?
They were later joined by another similar bus that had been used by the manufacturer as a demonstration vehicle and this was;
SN10-43 PBU951M
Thanks!

Have you tried doing a Google search Jason?? Another resource would be local newspaper archives.

I have tried the Google search but unfortunately nothing at all comes up with these buses. I found quite a lot of information about the South Normanton site but that is as far as I got really. I understand that there are several colleries near to South Normanton, noteably Alfreton which could have all been candidates to have operated these buses.

Look up the author Martin Weiss, he has lots of pictures sent to him for use in his books, he has some of the old buses including the old Seddons
