Last night Sunday 6th July, I caught a Chinese spammer spamming the site with a live link to a Chinese site. I don't want to, but I may have to approve ALL new registrations to stop these nuisance's from getting onto the site. This would mean a total ban on Chinese members if I do. To me they are spoiling an open site and making it hard for everyone.

Due to the past Chinese members making nuisances of themselves, ie spamming the site, making unauthorised adverts etc, I'm blocking all Chinese registrations. My apologies to the genuine Chinese who want to make contributions. Contact me privately and I'll unblock your registration. BUT, one advert, one spam and you will be banned! I leave the site registration open for a reason, if it's continually taken advantage of, I will close open registration and make it "Admin approved." A step I don't want to take. SO BEFORE REGISTERING, READ THE RULES!!

Again I apologize to those Chinese who genuinely want to contribute to this board, and there must be many knowledgeable mining types in China. But due to some of your countymen who are intent on breaking the "no commercial" advertising rule, I have to view ALL Chinese as potential "spammers" As such I will not approve any registrations from mainland China. My humble apologies to those who are 100% genuine. But that's how it is at present.

I note we are still getting Chinese registrations, I deny their registrations for reasons already posted. My apologies to all genuine Chinese registrations, but due to several of your countrymen who insist on "spamming" the site with commercial adverts, in contravention of Proboards TOS, I have had to ban all registrations emanating from your country.

Another Chinese Spammer removed this morning, together with three blatant commercial advertisements. The name did "ring alarm bells" with me, but the IP address was Indian Goa, so probably using a proxy.
This makes it difficult for genuine Chinese people who would like to honestly post or ask for information.
As far as I'm concerned, I have to take the stance that ALL Chinese are now potential spammers, and refuse registration to them all to protect the site. Proboards forbids commercial advertising by members of the site.
