Please forgive me for contacting you out of the blue like this, but I am desperately in need of your help. I am a home news reporter with the Independent on Sunday newspaper and I need to find two former miners, ideally from the same pit, who were on opposite sides during the miners' strike in 1984/5, ie.one who went on strike and one who crossed the picket line. They need to be prepared to meet one another with myself and a photographer present, to talk about memories of the strike, how they have coped since and how they feel with the 25th anniversary approaching. I need to be able to get them together by the end of this week, for a piece that I'm doing for this Sunday's paper. Any help or advice that you can give me would be much appreciated. Thanks and best, Jonathan Owen Independent on Sunday home newsdesk, 0207 005 2613 j.owen@independent.co.uk
