Still no word from his Son Russell about Terry's old site. I've gone ahead and made a start inserting his material from the copy of Terry's site in my files for my website, as soon as I have a couple of pages assembled, I'll upload them to the site. Shame to see so much data and photos of the old collieries of Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire not being available for reading. I do have Russell's permission to use any or all material. I was only going to use selected material, but as I have the space, I'll put the entire site on my webpage. Again, Terry will be missed, spare a thought for his family.
Bear with me on this one though, my time is limited, and there is a ton of material, much of which requires editing because of software and browser issues. So this will take a lot of my time up when I get into it.

Proving to be a tough nut to crack with my text editor. I may have to alter more than I wanted to!

Still working on it as well as adding material to Coal, Collieries and Mining. Terry's site is presenting some problems trying to maintain the original format within a different text editor. It won't look exactly the same , but close enough when done.

Although Terry's material is up and readable on my website, there are still"large holes" ie very little information on many of the collieries he posted. Now, if anyone could furnish me with information on the pits of Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire I will post it and will credit the author. I'm also planning to cover all the coalfields of the UK, so if anyone has photos, pit information, stories etc, please email me copies! You can access my email address by going to my profile. The first coalfield I'll tackle will be the Leicestershire pits, I know some fell within Derbyshire, in fact my research has led me to the south Derbyshire collieries came under Leicester. So need opeing and closing dates of pits, ANY info on the pits, ie seams worked, depth of seams, shaft size, winder information, manpower levels, maps, photos, types of machinery/switchgear, in fact ANYTHING!! All help will be appreciated! site URL is coalcollieryandmining.110mb.com/ Check out the Terry Blythe section to see what is missing. I do have many photos kindly sent to me by Shane Phillips to publish on there yet.
