My late father told a few yarns about life on the Cordoba Reef mine at Cerro Muriano; between 1912 and 1919.
I have always wanted to know a little more about this deposit and how it was worked, what the social conditions were etc. When I visited the area, I identified the remains of one old (beam) engine house and the foundations of stamps and there may, possibly, have been a smelting line.
This rather unspecific interest is a little to one side of the serious work of the Mining History list. I wonder if any subscribers to this site may be able to give me guidance.
