Hi All,
So, this is a long shot! however! is there any chance anyone here knows any of the colours carried by the NCB Narrow Gauge Diesels that used to work in the NCB/at Huncoat colliery?
the reason for the Question is one of the diesels exists on the Talyllyn Railway in Mid Wales and I am considering putting it back into a NCB livery. if anyone can help? The Loco is now Called Alf, after Mr Robens (a controversial one considering his involvment in Aberfan.. however!) thanks for the help!
Andrew

Hi Andrew. I'm sorry but I can't tell you, even though I started at a neighbouring colliery, Halton Valley. I did know a couple of Huncoat lads, but don't know if they are still around. One of them; Harry Tootle, was also a historian and was brought up in the village. Two further options. Accrington Library and there is a small mining Museum in Burnley were they might know. I shall email the museum.
I have a mate lives not a million miles away from where you are,he was a mechanical engineer and worked in the pit.

I think Harry's Gone Clive, he used to have the online comprehensive mining dictionary, that went several years back.
