Only two Rossendale pits got a mention and I would like a copy , particularly regarding Burnt Hills Colliery ian Whinstanlys site used to have them on but its closed down these days
Have scoured internet, can only find e one relating to Shropshire's

Looks like both links I have are dead links, wished I'd known I might have been able to keep it running for them. I'll check to see if I still have Ian's email address anywhere, might take me a while to go through old records, bear with me on this one Clive.

Here's a link to that "legal firm" that originally sponsored Ian's site, Raleys Solicitors ................. the miner's friend !! www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2698708/NUM-lawyers-dub-miners-making-77m-claims-Legal-firm-dropped-making-jokes-workers-intelligence-training-manual.html

Thanks for that Lads Sadly its the full transcript I'm after. I bought a hard copy off ian but lancs was split in two and info on the second is what im after. Ian had made them available to download. The ancestry link is good if you know the name and the colliery, but for general deaths ....... I need to get down to Newcastle to plough through the actual reports. They used to be at Nevil's hall, but I tink they been moved. Still if anybody does come across the 1840 reports, please let me know Thanks Clive
