Just been on the 6 PM news that the UK is to stop using coal for power generation completely by 2025. What are they going to use instead? Hmm I wonder if they'll be able to do it, make electricity more expensive I bet..

It's going to be interesting! New nuclear station is years behind, proposed gas station in Manchester is on hold because the company funding it can't get finance. Wind is unreliable! It's going to be the case I think that we will have fuels available just no where to generate power from!

Its all down to the EU and their long term strategy is simple; no country is to be self sufficient in anything meaning we are reliant upon the EU and cannot break away without threats of them shutting off our electricity or gas of which a large proportion comes from the EU super grids. For many years now we have been duped and this began with the French interconnector installed to ease loads between England and France as our peak consumption hours are different, or that's what they told us to accept it without questioning deeply.
Follow the money and you get an answer. In this case the huge money is going through China for them to build nuclear in the UK, and into fracking, hence why coal is to be replaced by gas fired stations according to the current energy minister in a statement only a couple of days ago.
Solar is inefficient and costly, according to official figures it costs an average £8,000 to have a 2.5Kwp system installed at home and it saves an average £261 per annum so do the maths, it takes over 30 years to recoup the initial investment on a system that is only warranted for 10 years, so if it breaks you have to scrap it or shell out lots more money to have it repaired or panels replaced.
Wind is much more efficient than solar as it produces a lot more power than solar, it works 24/7 unlike solar, but again it is another scam and makes a guaranteed return for the landowners which is ring fenced by the Government (aka the taxpayer) which means they get a guaranteed income. Look at the sites of the large wind turbines and particularly look at who is the landowner and you will see their names beginning with HRH, Lord, Duke, or other titles, or it will belong to some of the richest corporations in the world and the scam is simple, they never tell the truth but never lie. In a recent interview a Lord claimed he only got a small percentage of what the site produced and if it didn't produce he got nothing from the production of electricity, this is true and he never lied as he never told the whole story either.
land owners RENT or LEASE the land to energy companies and they get an annual rent or leasehold income from the energy company for 15-25 years, it is this income which is ring fenced by the taxpayer, if the site never turns a blade in anger and produces nothing he/she still gets their guaranteed rental income; in addition to this they get a small percentage of the profits from the heavily subsidised electricity feed in tariff paid directly to them from the Government and not the energy company, when we looked into numerous cases they were all broadly the same and the only differences were the length of time the land was rented.
This leaves us with only a couple of options, the nuclear which China is bringing in the form of a new power station or gas which will come from fracking.
There are other options which exist and one is to use British developed Thorium technology and while thorium is technically the lowest output form of the nuclear elements recent advances have meant it is nearly as efficient as the best and at only a fraction of the price, in the event of a total nuclear failure thorium has such low radiation levels which are actually lower then the surrounding ambient environment even a total disaster will be safe. In addition you can add up to 10% of uranium or plutonium to the reaction process and it neutralises it so all that nuclear waste we have stored can be disposed of safely and efficiently. Here is the first problem, a thorium plant costs a fraction of the price of a traditional nuclear plant which means only a fraction of the profits for the large consortiums constructing the plants, hence they won't build them and have power over Government to stop them being built as they would rather rip off the UK taxpayers for their profits and Government (irrespective of political party) will do exactly as they are told by their corporate paymasters.
Water is an alternative deliberately not explored, it is consistent and can be bought into play on demand and as a company it dropped into my lap to explore this, using basic Archimedes and cyclonic technologies were combined to allow a snail shell generator to work more efficiently, working with a University we developed a very compact and efficient generator which when fed through one of our vortex accelerators produces massive amounts of electricity from a head of water as low as 1 metre. In 2014 we introduced a number for reliability testing in Derbyshire as it has lots of waterfalls for run off water from the hills, many old soughs draining lead, copper, and various mineral mines and after the cost of installation its all free electricity, they are cheap to manufacture, cheap to install, and very durable and totally consistent. Here in the UK we could use these to produce more electricity then we currently do using just 50% of the weirs on the UK's rivers alone and then we have the other 50% on all the rivers, canals, drainage sewers (yes they work in sewers) streams, brooks, then all the naturally occurring sources such as old mine soughs, reservoir dams outlet pipes, waterfalls, and many more.
Geothermal is another potential source of power and this involves drilling deep into the earth to hit a steam pocket and these plants were popular in America in the 1970's, their major problem was nobody knew the life of the steam pocket before it was exhausted, this problem was overcome using hydraulic pumping technologies and a second borehole, instead of condensing the steam into water and running it off into rivers it is partially cooled and pumped back down the return hole and reheated before returning through the feed pipe as superheated steam. It has two issues, one is the gas emitted with the steam as it has been below ground for thousands of years, and as it is in a void it may be an unstable void which shoots loose rock and debris in the steam; gas separation is fairly easy and cheap to deal with and installing a rock separator is also cheap and easy; you use standard generating equipment so no development costs developing and building new ones, no combustion on site, no waste to deal with, and no huge storage facilities for things such as coal meaning the sites can be compact sites and even put underground so as not to blot the landscape. After a few months the hole and void is de-gassed naturally, and once the loose rocks have been blown out that's it.
What's the most common element? its hydrogen, we can produce hydrogen by steam cracking of various carbon fuels or we can use electrolysis, apart from a source of electricity all we need is water and we can produce hydrogen and oxygen. We can combine a number of the above technologies and produce hydrogen for free, Tokyo has 5 petrol stations with stand alone hydrogen gas generators producing hydrogen gas off grid and it captures rainwater for the water and uses solar panels for the power, it produces the hydrogen and stores it and if your car runs off hydrogen gas, or a hydrogen fuel cell you fill up from one of these sites. Japan has invested heavily in hydrogen while Europe invested heavily in diesel. If we were to construct similar plants on a larger scale an connect to either a large solar or wind farm and construct sufficient storage facilities we could produce hydrogen for free and it can be used for anything, it could feed gas fired power stations to produce electricity, run cars, or just be used as bottled or large bulk gas in large storage tanks to heat homes not connected to the grid.
AS we can see there are numerous options available to us but its all down to money, specifically maximum profitability.

Electricity is still produced in commercial quantities from natural thermal here stateside. California led the way as you say in the 60's and 70's near Lake County and Napa, but the steam was heavily laden with minerals and caused problems, so now no longer in production. There are a few power stations in Nevada running on natural thermal power, they are just off interstate 80 and are clearly visible from the road.

John, this is true but with a sealed recirculating system nothing escapes into the atmosphere unless there is a leak in the system so it becomes irrelevant unless you use an older system which condenses the steam back into water and sends it into a local river or other waterway. Recirculation is the key and as most geothermal plants, particularly the earlier types condensed the steam into water and let it run into a watercourse, it needs to be a sealed system to work.

Just for you John, and anyone else.
We have an elec co-op, each customer is a shareholder, the huge elec utilities would love to acquire the c0-ops, but state laws have been brought into force to prevent them...We pay a lot less than PG&E, Edison etc customers per unit. At one time, we had to take our own meter readings, use a card to calculate our bill and mail in a cheque for the amount we used. A few years back our co-op checked our meter, as we are pretty frugal with energy use, I suspect they thought we were stealing electricity... They didn't find anything out of the ordinary. Again, a few months later they were down here checking again, still found nothing wrong, so they ended up changing the meter for one that sends the meter reading on demand...Still haven't worked out why we use so little energy. In fact, last months bill reflects the change over from standard fluoros to LED tubes, 1.5Kwhrs less than the same billing month last year.
I don't think our meter is the smart meter, for a start, it has to send the info down the power lines as we are rural, even a cell phone won't work on my land, just no signal. The meter is mounted on the power pole some 100 feet from the house, but I will take an RF frequency counter out and check to see if it's emitting any RF, mine covers the microwave bands. I bought it for repair work on RF equipment, I'm a Ham, I also use it to check the radio shack for stray RF when I'm on air.

Nice one John, glad it provided some useful information for you. No RF being emitted from my meter, so it's only a "self reading" meter. Nice to have some test instruments handy. I set the master oscillator in my old FT757 using an accurate digital multimeter and final checks with the RF freq counter, just a matter of adjusting the PLL that locks the master oscillator on frequency and checking the output against the radios readout. The old 757's had a design problem that let them drift over time, then the PLL circuit wouldn't lock.

Correct Clive, use my principle of follow the money and it always gives you the answer, so lets look in slightly more detail.
Every MP or senior figure will tell you what they are worth and it will be a very low figure, the reason for this is they put everything into "TRUSTS" and Tony B. Liar was even a trust lawyer, when something is put into trust (the correct trust) you still have full control of the assets but not the name and this works simply. Most people would look for a named individual, lets use mr B.Liar; they search for Tony Blair or Anthony Blair for example and very little financial information comes up. If you know the name of their trust/s you can search the trusts instead and you get the real answer or so you think, to circumvent this they put a trust into another trust and into another trust, so you need to search both the trust and its trustees.
Trusts operate under another set of laws called trust law which gives numerous tax benefits and you simply move money and asset values between trusts, all perfectly legal and lawful and you get out of paying a lot of tax.
You only pay tax in the UK on a UK trust so you set up a UK trust and you use your trust assets as investment funds, you can perfectly legally and lawfully move investment funds anywhere in the world TAX FREE so you move 50% of your UK trusts assets to a non EU country as an investment totally tax free, you invest this into a dummy corporation in that country under ITS LAWS and not EU laws, leave it for at least 3 months and you pay tax in that country at a preferential rate and many of these tax havens have a system where you can negotiate your own rate if you invest at a certain level, lets say £100,000 GBP for example. You agree a rate of something silly such as the fairly common 0.00001% and wait, after the required 3 months you withdraw your money, pay your 0.000001% in that country and you get your paperwork saying its tax paid and you can move that money virtually anywhere in the world tax free, you just produce your perfectly legal paperwork with its seal or stamp.
Now you can see how these large corporations avoid paying tax in the UK and you can do exactly the same, notice how many of these companies in the news recently paying little to no tax are either Asian or American.
Now you follow these trusts and trustees and you will see they are using their offshore trusts to invest in Fracking here in the UK, its originally UK money/assets, moved abroad as an investment, pays tax at a negotiated rate in that country, then comes back as investment into another foreign company applying to frack In the UK, or comes back as a foreign investment into a UK fracking company.
If I were to tell you that over half the elected politicians in Parliament and most of the House of Lords do this and have indirect (not connected to them on paper) investments in fracking do you really think you will stop it? party politics now becomes irrelevant as they all have the same vested financial interest and money overrules party politics.

Merlin, its all part of a larger agenda of the EU and that is to prevent any individual member state being self sufficient; with coal we could produce petrol and diesel in self sufficiency quantities, we could produce town gas in self sufficiency quantities, we could generate electricity in self sufficiency quantities, see why they wanted coal shutting down? when they tried to blackmail any future politicians with threats to restrict or shut off our electricity or gas we could stick two fingers up to them, if they refused to allow any liquid fuels such as petrol and diesel as well as any oil derived products to be exported to the UK we could stick two fingers up to them. Without coal they can make the threats which would put people in fear and they would vote to remain in the EU even if they didn't want to.

I see the worlds largest "green" power producer, a Spanish company has just gone bust, going to leave a 40% deficiency in Spanish power generation. This "global warming" crap is collapsing like a house of cards. I also see there is a large body of climate scientists who have come up with a computer projection that we are heading for a 30 year mini ice age.

Probably was heavily subsidized Jim, that would be my guess and subsidies have been pulled. Several large "green" energy companies have gone to the wall over here and that was with billions of taxpayers money invested in them... As we know, solar and wind just cannot compete with coal and oil.

Its only subsidies which keep them all going, look at it realistically, how can you pay more for something than you charge for it? any private company in most other fields would go bust quickly.
We designed a highly efficient vortex accelerated snail shell generator which is not on general sale and I have a test model now installed in the stream running through my land, my electricity bill comes in a different colour to yours and mine contains a cheque, so who is paying the difference? the taxpayer.
Did you read my bit about the wind turbines? if so you will know the landowners are paid a fixed annual fee for 15-25 years so they get a guaranteed income if the turbine turns or not and its ring fenced by the Government, green energy owning and running the turbine goes bust then being ring fenced means its paid for by the taxpayer. Seized assets go to the Government via the treasury and they own them and often sell them off, either way their friends, aka the big landowners win and get paid, the operating company pisses off said Government and suddenly subsidy disappears so subsidy is nothing more than a form of blackmail and control as their friends the landowners win either way.

And those are tied in with Zionism, don't get mixed up with Jews and Zionism though!! There is an active website, run by prominent Rabbi's, Jews Against Zionism"
Some years back a friend, who is now deceased, told me about the financing of Hitler's rise to power, the Russian Revolution in 1917 and WW2 were all financed by one Zionist family, who ran a world wide banking group..I took it with a pinch of salt, then found several sources of information that proved what he'd told me.
Some would ask, what's this got to do with the end of the UK coal industry, EVERYTHING!! It's all to do with control... by those in power..
Communism was an experiment, it failed miserably. It didn't achieve what our "masters" wanted, but it did teach them how to subjugate the masses though, but didn't raise the profits they were seeking. Probably why the Nationalized industries were privatized.

As a landowner i`m quite aware of the payments for having a wind turbine on ones land, sadly i don`t have one,
I`m also aware the figure`s from these solar panel companies don`t add up,hence i don`t have them,
I`m also aware of the wealthy in this land have their fingers in many pies,
I`m also aware that coal is being phased out so fracking can replace it as a source of energy, again with the wealthy`s finger in the pie.
Abengoa is bigger than the total we have in the UK,so could very well be a case of getting to big and stretching themselves to thinly on the ground and nothing to do with subsides.
Time will tell.

One store had 500 on roof and the other a thousand. If they were a waste of time these companies wouldnt have them. Do they power the stoers or sell back to grid? cant tell you that but i do know we will be up there again in a few months cleaning them again so it must be worth their while. The amount of solar farms apearing as well is phenominal. However 6 applications have been turned down in Penrith, but one is being built over Haxham
