I've got around 25 plates and most of them are made my Edwardian china (the company that made this one). I don't know if they are still in buisness but they made some really nice plates. Must admit it took me a couple of looks to find the C on the Cotgrave plate.

I reckon that the most memorable thing that has ever been put onto a mining plate is a 10” Yorkshire pudding awash with thick onion gravy and followed up by ..........................................

Found the C on taking a second look, what a shocking example of artistic licence ! I didn't even realise the C wasn't there ? I'm already a fully paid up member of the specsavers club , perhaps I need a membership upgrade Someone is still manufacturing them , there was a guy at Durham Miners Gala last year with a stall full , all fully boxed He's located at the back of the cricket field amongst the food vans miners lamp dealers etc Shame he wasn't selling Glasses !

The plate with the big C is UDM. I've got that one & the first UDM, also post 85 NUM. Durham is a too far to travel. Will try E-bay. Many thanks for all the input.

Still looking for this illusive Cotgrave NUM plate. Not having much luck! Contacted Mansfield NUM office. No info.
