There's a link below about a number of newish houses below that are to be demolished due to carbon dioxide seeping out of old coal mine workings. www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-edinburgh-east-fife-27812488Has anyone else come across anything similar?? I remember Arkwright afew years back but that was methane. I always thought CO2 sunk and didn't rise out of mines??

P1V1=P2V2 water sinks as well but if there is an on-going build up and increased pressure it can be forced in any direction of lower pressure resistance (as well as forcing any gas collection before it). The real question for me is how all this man made CO2 being heavier than air, can find itself accumulating in the upper atmosphere causing all the woes related to GW, why weren't we walking about in shoulder high CO2 before it got that high up?

"ya mean yer dint know" Daz, well it's like this, man made CO2 is a lot lighter than air...Well that's what the "global warming" crowd would want us to believe... Mind you, we have global warming where I live every year, we just call it summer..
