I am currently involved with the Nottingham Industrial Museum at Wollaton Park and we are trying to gather as much information on Wollaton colliery as possible with the intention of mounting a display. I also have a personnel link with the colliery in that my grandfather was killed at Wollaton through (I believe ) a roof fall in the 1930's. If anyone is interested in helping I would be most grateful.

I also have a personnel link with the colliery in that my grandfather was killed at Wollaton through (I believe ) a roof fall in the 1930's. If anyone is interested in helping I would be most grateful. I've not been able to find much out about Wollaton or Radford for that matter, ironic, as I worked with several Wollaton men during my apprenticeship.. Most who worked at Wollaton will now be long gone, been almost 50 years since the pit closed.
Basically all the information I've located is in this board, you're welcome to use it, there are errors I've found and pointed out. If I find more information I'll post it here. You could try the Cities archives, I believe they hold most of the colliery archives, the NCB turned over hundreds of photos and papers on Wollaton and Clifton to them. Also contact the NEP newspaper, they must also have stories and photos too, local pit closures used to gain front page back in the 60's.
As an ex pat living stateside, I'd appreciate any information you turn up so I can add it here.
