I wasn't sure what the person was looking for Daz, I interpreted it as "did China learn longwall mining from the USA" as China has many longwall faces in operation, plus has perfected the top coal cave in method too.
I could be wrong...

As we've been through before, it's anybody's guess just what the 'searcher' meant or was looking for, but China have been using mechanised Longwall systems for almost half a century and applying the system in quite a few different and difficult geological situations. I know that they are still buying in Longwall hardware and technology, the best of which is likely to be provided by Catapillar and possibly Joy, but China aren't likely to be 're-learning' much Longwall mining from America.

"1 Visit 1.61% do i need to use a diode to check the pilot circiut on a trailing cable"
I hope you read this post before trying that, DON'T!!!!!!! With today's high voltage equipment it is a highly dangerous practice, was bad enough in the 550 volt days. BUT todays modern high horsepower equipment could well be on 1100 volts or higher voltages that would be risking your life as well as your workmates lives. STICK to doing a continuity test with a megger or ohmeter, your wife and family will thank you for it when you get home safe after a shift underground.

"1 Hit 0.70% coal face signal equipment"
There's been a few over the years, from simple pullwires operating signal keys along the face, to some I cannot recall the names of. After pullwire signal systems we had lockout boxes that contained a push button to "rap" signals on, 1 to stop, 2 to go and then allotted station signals like 1 then 6 for electricians, 1 and then 3 for maingate end etc.. These progressed with a telehone jack added for taking a handheld sound powered handset, sometimes a full telephone hand sets to just a single sound powered mike/earphone unit that could be carried in the pocket. Then along came integrated face signalling/communications systems like the Winster "WICAS" system. When a lockout was actuated along the face, the display showed lockout and the key number, it also indicated faults in the signal lines, like "OPEN, SHORT" which on clearing changed to "PILOT".
Davis of Derby had a more sophisticated system the SIVAD, similar to the Winster system, then Derby Automated Consultants brought their DAC system out.
Today the Longwall packages contain their own signalling/communication systems.

Pilot Circuit......It's a circuit that functions in several rolls, the main function being earth continuity protection, if the earth circuit opens, the pilot relay in the GEB will open, de energizing the main contactor. It has another useful roll too, it can and is used as a control circuit, stop/start. Lesser functions are low voltage protection and if power fails it will prevent a GEB energizing.

"1 Visit 1.06% what precious minerals are found in coal" None that I'm aware of.Gold ............ and several other expensive if not precious minerals Gold is not uncommon in coal, it has been found in Welsh coal and Siberia have found 4.4ppm in coal ash (apparrently 4.4ppm is pretty much worthwhile recovering). I did post a link to gold in coal on here some while back ....... I'll try and dig it out (excuse the pun). Gold is in lots of places where it's not suspected at all. I'm actually suspecting that they resell lots of those left overs for cement& asphalt companies. they can't just throw that away to the trash.
Here is a very nice one from Nova Scotia. Recent news coverage tells it all in a few short lines.
Anaconda Mining Inc. (TSX:ANX) – $0.255
Junior Gold Mining
Anaconda Mining is a junior gold exploration company focused primarily in eastern Canada. The Company main projects include three in Newfoundland: 1) The Point Rousse project comprising five mining leases and 24 mineral licenses; 2) the Viking project covering 6,225 hectares, and 3) the Great Northern project covering 9,850 hectares. In addition, Anaconda Mining has Cape Spencer in New Brunswick, an early-stage exploration project, which includes 106 claims covering 2,350 hectares. Anaconda is expecting to add a second mining operation, Goldboro in Nova Scotia, which could take Company’s production levels to 60-75Koz/yr. 2020 guidance is for 18-19Koz of gold at an operating cost of ~US$800/oz.
Market Cap: $34.5M
7-Day Return: +15.9%
YTD-Return: +2.0%
7-Day Average Trading Volume: 262,740
www.AnacondaMining.com is hoping to strike gold — literally — with a new partnership with the College of the North Atlantic. The mining company is collaborating with the college to find new ways of accessing a hard-to-reach gold deposit at Deer Cove, on the Baie Verte Peninsula.
The gold was found in a stream bed in the mid-'80s, rather than in hard rock, and the new partnership is looking to use modern technology to reach the gold.
