I really hope this catches on. They are talking about doing this around here. They pump Co2 back into old coalmines or nonmineable seams to help produce methane to later be drilled and used.

New UK coal Power Station Plans for Britain's first coal-fired power station equipped with carbon capture technology have been backed by the European Commission. The commission has recommended that a plant in Hatfield, near Doncaster, should receive £164m of EU funding. The sum would be matched by a similar sum from the UK government. news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/south_yorkshire/8311286.stmI wonder who we are buying this for ??

I thought the power industry had been sold to private enterprise??? So how come the taxpayers are footing the bill for this power station??? I wonder if your electricity bill will be reduced by 50%??

Not that I want to introduce any sort of political slant on this of course (erm?), but perhaps if the names Russia and Budge are recalled to memory.
