Pg2
"Airly has experienced some significant delays in mining production but is still on track to achieve annual forecast production."Pg3
"Airly Mine has commenced the application process to obtain a Mining Lease (ML) over land within Authorisation 232, adjoining ML 1331. This application is consistent with life of mine operations. No exploration is being conducted on this land; it’s merely the process of moving this to a Mining Lease."
= Year right King Coal!!!
"Proposed modification of Development Consent SSD-5581 & Solar Farm Project

Key Points Include:
- Increase coal production from 1.8Mt to 3Mt
- Increase employee numbers from 155 to 200"
"The members agreed to hold three CCC focus sessions to address the primary community concerns of the proposed Modification."

Ummm...but its going to MW with 61m Voids & skinny 30m wide x 60m long chain pillars??....will get interesting.

2020 Annual Report
"Airly Mine Modification 3
Modification 3 would have seen the mine plan altered to raise production from 1.8 million to 3million tons per annum. The plan was in its final assessment phase and awaiting determination from the Department of Planning Industry and Environment. Our committee had been involved in extensive discussions with the mine operators and the local community over this very important development. Unfortunately at the 11th hour the company have withdrawn the proposal due to the current state of the coal industry."
Mine Subsidence
"Monitoring results show a maximum of 550 mm of subsidence compare to the 150 mm predicted in the original Environmental impact statement.
Fortunately the subsidence does not seem to be widespread with two cracks being identified on Mount Airly.
Mine management is in discussions with the Department of Mines Expert Panel on the issue and are implementing a number of adaptive management strategies to reduce the level of any future substance."

2021_11_30
Noted the Mine Mgmt Staff Shuffles
• Completed MW08 – MW11 during the reporting period;
• Currently mining MW12, MG12 and 401 areas (as of November 2021);
Noted that per Pg7 The MW12 is short.
Per Pg9 dated 2021_07_01 Proposed New Area MWP shows MW Blocks back towards length of MW Blocks 5 & 6 for MW14 & 15 But 16 is very short before the new area has another nine MW Blocks to extract of similar length to MW4
• The progressive transition of operations into Genowlan Mountain is underway;
• MW13 is expected to commence in January 2022.
• Mining Lease ML1814 was granted on 22 July 2021
1 x non-compliance with SSD_5581 year to-date 2021 (Subsidence Cracking on Mt Airly)
– refer to attached presentation for details)
• Fracturing of strata above Mt Airly miniwall pillars, combined with low cohesion bedding strata has allowed overburden to subside
• The accumulative effect of the Mt Airly miniwall panel extraction has resulted in unpredicted tensile strain and cracking at bending location outside of the panels;
• Keith Muir advised the committee that he would be seeking the Independent Expert Panel correspondence from the Department of Planning in relation Mt Airly subsidence performance and the associated revised mine design changes.
Up to 0.7m Surface Subsidence
Pg31
So beyond B9 they are non compliant with <125mm & from B13 to B44 they have 0.5m of Subsidence with nominal max of 0.7m
Pg34
I’d give climbing the rock face a miss any time soon
Pg36
“primarily a result of fracturing of the strata overlying the chain pillars due to weak strata, abutment load, reduced goaf confinement and inadequate chain pillar width” (Noted the 30m width for MW 2 to MW9)
Per Pg9 noted on the MWP that also a fair bit of MW7 (MH to 6 C/T), MW8 (MH to 8C/T) & MW9 (MH to 12 C/T) & MW10 (MH to 3 C/T) were abandoned
Pg40 Notes that WRT Pg36 “inadequate chain pillar width”
Change in MW11 & 12
60m Wide MG Pillars
40m Wide TG Pillar
Pg47
Goal of < 125mm surface subsidence
61m Miniwall Void Width
70m chain or barrier inter panel pillars
