Went to Moorgreen garden centre yesterday & they're all decorated up for Christmas already, I'm sure it gets earlier every flipping year. They seem to have a Christmas almost every year nowadays, I'm sure they were further apart when I was younger. I expect it'll be the same this year as last: I'll be made to play stupid games, I'll get caught cheating, there will be shouting & fuss & I'll be made to wash the pots as punishment, whinge, moan. It'll all be over on 2'nd of Jan 2016. Yippee..

My old Mum used to get the tree and decorations up a few days before Christmas, as a kid I don't recall even shops getting decorations up much earlier than a couple of weeks before the day. Just the two of us here, so we don't usually bother putting a tree up, and as odd as it might sound, we have never put outside lights up around the house, just too much bother... I'm getting to be a grumpy old man...Bahh humbug....LOL

I don't believe that Christmas is compulsory under Common Law, so if anyone tries to impose it upon you simply refuse, you're under no legal obligation to give them your name, simply state that you are not a "SNAWMAN" and will still be here when Christmas and winter are long gone.

Remember being my my Aunties house one xmas when her two budgies escaped from their cage: they wrecked all the hanging trimmings between them before we managed to catch them, it was right chaos, they were none the worse for their escapade though. We laughed about it after clearing the mess up..

Is Reuben still short changing people? never give him a £20 note as he only gives you change for a £10, there is an interesting story about that when he short changed a Moorgreen U/G fitter but its one for another day.

Don't know if he's still short changing, wouldn't surprise me though, I paid by debit card. We spent £72 & only went in for a couple of things... Went in Tesco yesterday & they're flogging Christmas stuff, they'd got tubs of Xmas cheeselets = 280 grams for £3, on next isle normal cheeselets = 125 grams for £1. You've got to be careful not to get ripped off..

Not that bothered about Christmas myself, we do light the garden up as we have done for many years and the neighbours like it.
I much prefer to take the time off work and totally relax and delegate the on call duties to junior staff so I can get out into the garden and get things done, or get into the barn and work on the collection of classic cars, switch the company phone off, or get the grandkids in working with me as they are developing the bug for classics.
