Thoughts and prayers for the victims Situation is still very confused .
"Rescue workers began to remove bodies from the Zasyadko mine in Donetsk after a suspected methane explosion reportedly killed dozens on Wednesday morning. Conflicting reports state that somewhere between 30 and 77 people have killed in the blast, with up to 47 still missing. The incident happened at around 06.00 local time (04.00 GMT), when there was either 73 or 207 workers underground. Before the rescue operation can fully commence, workers have to extract the poisonous and combustible fumes which have entered the mine shaft after the explosion."
These accidents shouldn't be happening in 2015 .

Some years ago a guy from the UK was requested to go to Zasyadko mine to show modern technology with respect to gas detection. Senior personnel from the mine refused to purchase such equipment and a few months later, in December an explosion occurred which official figures state 101 miners were killed. I believe there was a second explosion only a few days afterwards killing rescue personnel. We now get the same scenario 8 years on
