Anyone know a supplier of (genuine) anthracite doubles in the Shropshire area? - we'd like something better (and cheaper) to burn in our stove than the smokeless we're using at the moment.

Just a thought - how about a link to her site - on the understanding that she DOESN'T keep posting on here? I'm sure some people find it interesting, it's just that she swamps the 'Latest Updates/Recent Posts/Recent Threads' bit at the bottom of the home page, which I'm sure is most regular visitor's first port of call. I don't want to suggest anything that will make more work for you (I'm already grateful as hell that you bother to keep the forum going) - but that might keep everyone happy?
PS - My enquiry about anthracite was genuine - it looks like we're in for another cold winter and gas and electricity prices are going through the roof!

Only 3 sources of Anthracite in South Wales at present, Aberperwm Colliery, Onllwyn Washery And a small opencast near Llandybie,with their own washery,good coal by all accounts Dan y graig No.4 gets a bit out,but their on stop more than their going. Anthracite is over 300 per ton down there with the merchants. Also good Welsh Dry Steam at Ffos y fran washery Fochriw |
