The BBc program looking back at teh 70s which was on on sat night, 'doomwatch' 73-74. It delt with the strike and collapce of heath govt. I'm sure that was Bold colliery, about the 46 min mark. Diod my ug training there, though the miners interviewd apeared to be pies and not wollies (sort that one out)

I work at parkside and cronton +did my Training at old Boston the best years 22years What year were you at Boston? as there june 1980 tgill 81 when I went into private mines. Was at hapton Valley for a start. was down there about 7 years ago singing..had a walk around the site. was still a bit to bee seen at the time. Must say most of us hated boston, just wanted to be at the pit. was in same MIBS class as Ian Gormley and John Simm from Parkside. Was 2 cronton lads but cant remember their names, but one had a superdream
