A good tip for your blog, get rid of dark blue on a black background text!! It's extremely difficult to read, in fact impossible for me and probably for many other people too. Red on dark blue is hard to read too.

Hi, can any one help me please to find the area number fo Blidworth Colliery which was in North Nottinghamshire Area, cheers Not sure without looking it up, but I think it started in the No2 Area and ended up in No4 Area. A search of the site will bring up the Divisions and Areas. When the NCB was formed, it was the East Midlands Division with the Areas holding around several collieries, then closures of the old worked out uneconomic pits started, and No2 Area was dropped, leaving 1,3,4,5,6 and I'm pretty certain No7 Area, Coleville and parts of South Derbyshire.

Ok John thanks, I’m building a model live steam locomotive an 0-6-0 tank engine like the ones used at most colliery, As my wife’s late farther & families worked there I would like to finish the livery off in the Blidworth colliery. with the area number & name plates etc, so more information received would be very grateful, cheers,,,,
