India is trying to connect every village to the electric grid, hence the need for coal for power generation. I believe they have banned Greenpeace in India too because of the economic damage that greenpeace was doing in India.

Funny you should mention Greenpeace, as their late chairman has come out against the myth of human made global warming/climate change, he has some pretty strong words to those profiting out of the myth.

I'm a skeptic when it comes to global warming. There's no denying that the climate is changing but the climate has been changing from the year dot. I just don't believe the likes of Greenpeace about what is causing the climate to change. I follow a few experts on twitter about climate change and it is safe to say that many scientist disagree with how the climate is changing. I've read about the former chairman of Greenpeace, it is very interesting what he says. One thing for sure is that there are many people making a lot of money from the climate change hysteria. Also a lot of vulnerable people in third world countries are loosing out too from being denied cheap, secure energy by the likes of Greenpeace.
